Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973)
One of the most influential artists of all time, Pablo Picasso is the co-creator of cubism along side Georges Braques. The legacy of Picasso lives on in the center of Málaga with the official Museum celebrating some of the artist’s greatest work and early sketches. Antonio Banderas (1960 – )

Antonio Banderas, although having starred in many Hollywood productions, was actually discovered by prolific Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, his first cameo being in Labyrinth of Passion in 1982. The actor then went on to star in a number of Almodovar’s films including Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990) and The Skin I Live in (2011).

Pablo Alborán (1989 – )

Singer/songwriter Pablo Moreno de Alborán Ferrándiz started writing songs from the age of 12. His self-titled debut album was released in 2011 was at the top of the national charts for six weeks in a row and earned the singer six Latin Grammy nominations. In 2012, he released his second album entitles Tanto, topping the charts for twice as many weeks as the first. Alborán’s third album Terral broke him into the U.S market, landing at no.1 in the U.S Latin Charts.

Emilio Prados (1899 – 1962)

A poet that formed part of the famous generación del 27, Emilio Prados explored many genres in his lifetime. Historians have divided these themes into three stages. The first stage can be characterized by it’s themes of surrealism and imagery, the second by social issues including the civil war and the third is described as his Mexican period, as Prados spent the last years of his life in the country. During this last stage, the poet’s work explores the search of balance and harmony.

Antonio Molina (1928 – 1992)

Flamenco singer and actor Antonio Molina was discovered when he started singing on radio shows. He was famous for having a quite a high-pitched voice for a male vocalist, a quality that set him apart from other singers at the time. Aside from having a very successful career in music, Molina was also an actor, starring in a great number of theatrical productions.
