There is also the botanical garden (Jardin Andalusia) of Casarabonela which is well known for its large cacti collection (2.500 species) from all over the world. As throughout Spain, there are plenty of fiesta, the Casarabonela feria is held every year and there is a dramatic parade every Easter.

3. Casarabonela is a bit further off the beaten track, there is only one road into and out of the village, yet it is only 40 minutes (47 km.) from Málaga and the international airport. Similarly, the beaches on the Costa del Sol can be reached in  45 minutes (62 km).
